What is a Scripture Scroll?

What is a Scripture Scroll?

Meet our Signature Product: the Scripture Scroll.

Maybe the best way to think of it is as a paper table runner. The dimensions of each scroll are 15 inches by 48 inches. Each scroll represents a book of the Bible and has connected circles with corresponding numbers to represent a chapter. You can record the author, audience, and purpose of each book as well as when and where the book was written. On the right side of each scroll you can record your prayers, what you learn about God, and what you are grateful for during the time you used the scroll. The bottom of each scroll has something unique about that particular book. For example, John's gospel has images representing each of the "I AM" statements that are unique to John.

Inspiring Creative Family Discipleship

The Scripture Scroll came as an idea in my own family. We have four children spanning 6-7 years depending on the month. To say that reading, let alone studying, the Bible together wasn't utter chaos in just false. God planted this idea in my brain for my own family as we read and study God's word. It engages my older children as they think of ways to draw or write what was in each chapter. My little ones love coloring things in as we read. I developed a simple coloring page for each chapter to keep them occupied and see a visual of what we were reading.

The Scripture Scroll became a beacon of Truth for me. My kids started wanting to read and listen to Scripture so we could make our progress through a book of the Bible.

What is the most Important Thing?

As you raise your children, do you ever ask yourself what you won't regret later? I find myself meditating on this thought more now that my youngest is 5 and my oldest is starting middle school. The time is so limited and it goes by so fast. What will I look back and see after they are gone? I hope that I can leave a legacy of peace, hope, love, joy, etc.

Perhaps the most important thing that I can try to impart to my children is that the God of the universe loves them and is with them. That they need a Savior because they were born in sin. They are sinners without hope until they encounter a real and risen Savior. How do they get to know who God is? How do they see themselves for who they really are? How do they encounter Jesus Christ? There are several ways but a very tangible way that God has given us is through the Bible.

If can teach my children how to study and spend time with God in His Word I will be so thrilled. I am not a perfect model. I hope that my children can see that they don't have to be perfect because we trust in a Perfect Savior.

I also hope that my children see from my model that studying Scripture and the Christian life in general is a great adventure. Scripture Scrolls have been just an awesome resource for our family in this way.

Resources for Family Discipleship

The Scripture Scroll as well as our coloring pages for each book of the Bible have become a beloved resource for so many families. You will be AMAZED at the level of recall your kids have as you open the scroll and reflect on the previous chapter.

What is really cool about these scrolls is that they end up becoming a time capsule of sorts. No matter how much time it takes to go through a scroll, you can look back once you complete it and see the prayers that God answered or what your family was experiencing at that time.

The heavy duty tube we ship our scrolls in allows you to preserve a moment of time in the life of your family to revisit over and over again.
